Note that these are all 16 bit, 44.1 KHz (i.e., CD quality) WAV files. They will take several minutes to download and start playing even with a fast Internet connection.
Louis Krasner, violin; Cleveland Orchestra; Artur Rodzinski, conductor. Recorded 15 Dec. 1940. Transferred from Columbia set MM-465 by David Hoehl. My thanks to Mr. Hoehl for providing this item.
Note: Krasner commissioned the Berg Concerto and played the world premiere. It was composed in 1935 and dedicated "to the memory of an angel." This is the first commercial recording of the work.
